My Weaknesses ~ Writers' Workshop

It's Thursday, which means it's time for Mama Kat's Writers' Workshop. Here's the prompt I chose this week: Ask someone who loves you what one of your weaknesses is. I almost didn't pick this one because I can come up with a LOOOONG list of my weaknesses all by myself, thank you very much, and don't really need anyone else to add to it. So, being the glutton for punishment I am, I did a survey. I emailed and texted people I KNEW loved me, and here are the responses.
Michael (my husband): brownie earthquakes and a certain werewolf
Kim (my friend in Atlanta): sweet tea, a good book, the beach, wine, bread, Michael
OK, these two took the question in a different direction that I expected, but they really made me smile.
Dianna (my friend and Bloggy Boot Camp partner): You tend to be a perfectionist. Is this a trick question?
Beverly (fabulous food blogger and aunt): That it too easy. You are too damn nice. You always put others before yourself.
Aren't they sweet? Although I think Dianna was trying to stay out of trouble and I understood Beverly's response better once she emailed that she was working with mushroom recipes - I think she got hold of some of the "funny" ones.
Aaron (my eighteen-year-old): Um, you can't deal with stupid people.
Insightful kid, huh?
And then I asked Jack, my eleven-year-old. He wouldn't answer right away, said he needed to think about it. He came up to me about 45 minutes later and said, "excruciating pain". I just looked at him blankly, having totally forgotten what we'd been talking about. He said, "That's your weakness. All the pain you've been having lately." WOW. Yeah, he got a big hug and unlimited video game time. And I'm going to see a Pain Management doc today at 9:00, so hopefully this weakness is only temporary.
